Our vision at Ysgol Betws is to provide rich educational experiences which ensures all pupils reach their full potential. Our purpose is to nurture enthusiastic children who will benefit from a variety of experiences during their time at our school. We will ensure that all children have ample opportunities to experiment and develop confidence in their play and work through developing independence at every opportunity. We will support each pupil to play an important role in our community and to understand the important role it plays in their lives. Our pupils will appreciate and respect our local community before venturing into the wider world. Our main objective is to ensure each child is multilinguistic, confident and ready for the challenges ahead. Ysgol Betws strives to be a welcoming, safe community where wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

Our school aims are:

• To help pupils acquire a great attitude towards their learning, to use their imagination to share their ideas in a creative way, strive to be the best they can by never giving up and by reflecting upon their learning.
• To help pupils develop outstanding behaviour, know the differences between right and wrong, and how to behave in order to get along with others and have fun.
• To encourage pupils to aim high, by dreaming big and having a go, to support others, while persevering in new experiences and activities in order to reach their goals.
• To encourage pupils to listen, promoting concentration and curiosity through asking questions of others and themselves, allowing creative thinking to solve problems.
